Second Stage Round 11: Besancon - Chartres 79-88

There was a small surprise when twelfth rankedC'Chartres (12-25) defeated on the road 9th ranked Besancon (13-24) 88-79 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was point guard Yann Siegwarth (185-1993) who scored 24 points and 6 assists. Forward Gedeon Dimoke (197-2001) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. C'Chartres' coach let to play all 12 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Calvin Jubenot (198-1986) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and guard Idrissa Pouye (184-2000) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chartres moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Besancon dropped to the tenth position with 24 games lost.
