Regular Season Round 28: Paris - Chalon/Saone 103-105

The most exciting game of round 28 in the Betclic ELITE ProA took place in Paris. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of much higher rankedParis Basket (20-8) to ninth ranked Chalon/Saor (14-14) 105-103 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Paris Basket. Chalon/Saone forced 23 Paris turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 30 personal fouls committed by Paris helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American center Grant Golden (208-1998, college: Richmond) fired 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. point guard Matheo Leray (186-2003) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists. Five Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. International guard Nadir Hifi (188-2002) produced 36 points (!!!) and American point guard Justin Robinson (187-1997, college: Virginia Tech) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Chalon/Saone maintains ninth position with 14-14 record. Defending champion Paris keeps the second place with eight games lost. They share the position with Nanterre.
