There was a surprise result when ninth rankedEtoile Angers (17-23) won against at home top-ranked Saint Vallier (24-16) 99-95 on Friday. Angers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Yanis Harrath (178-1998) who scored 29 points and 8 assists. Algerian guard Dalil Hadi (185-2003) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 assists and 4 steals. Five Etoile Angers players scored in double figures. Guard Sasha Derradji (195-2006) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and swingman Olivier Yao-Delon (194-1995) added 24 points respectively for the guests. Saint Vallier's coach Alexandre Casimiri tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Angers moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Pays Salonais. Loser Saint Vallier still keeps top position with 16 games lost.
