Very predictable result when second rankedJSF Nanterre (21-8) won against on the road 14th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (8-21) 85-80 on Saturday. Nanterre made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. The former international point guard Benjamin Sene (188-1994) nailed 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and German point guard Len Schoormann (192-2002) accounted for 14 points and 5 assists. Forward Valentin Chery (200-1997) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and American swingman Chris Babb (196-1990, college: Iowa St.) added 17 points respectively for Gravelines in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Gravelines-Dunkerque's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nanterre maintains second place with 21-8 record having just two points less than leader Monaco, which they share with Paris. Gravelines lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 21 games lost. They share it with Saint Quentin. Nanterre will meet at home Cholet (#5) in the next round. Gravelines will play against Bourg (#8) and hope to secure a win.
