The most surprising game was another loss of top-rankedTSU (8-4) in Tbilisi on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by ninth ranked Kavkasia (5-7) 87-82 . The guests trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 29-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Kavkasia dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to TSU 's 40. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kavkasia made 7 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by TSU helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International center Giorgi Turdziladze (210-1997) stepped up and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and American guard Shamar Wright (201, college: SIUE) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks.
