The biggest surprise of round 8 was guestVSA 's (4-1) road victory over one of their biggest challengers Ajaris Nakrebi (3-2) 44-42 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ajaris Nakrebi. Ajaris Nakrebi cut a 13-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. VSA dominated on the defensive end, holding Ajaris Nakrebi to just 4 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Ajaris Nakrebi 63-39 including a 29-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Giorgi Dokhnadze who scored 9 points and 23 rebounds. Davit Chuadze chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. VSA's coach Davit Berishvili used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Dianis Grigoriani produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and Tato Chachanidze added 12 points respectively for the hosts. VSA have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Hyundai. Ajaris Nakrebi at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost.
