An interesting game forGriffin (4-1) which hosted in 4th placed Akhaltsikhe (2-3). Second ranked Griffin had an easy win 105-77 . It looked good early as Akhaltsikhe took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Griffin had a 32-14 second period charge getting the lead and Akhaltsikhe was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-105. Griffin made 18-of-19 charity shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Griffin outrebounded Akhaltsikhe 45-32 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Griffin players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American forward Alex Matthews (196-2001, college: UTPB) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and his fellow American import guard Kmani Doughty (196-2000, college: Indiana St., agency: Starting 5) chipped in 20 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Five Griffin players scored in double figures. American forward KK Curry (201-2000, college: UT Martin, agency: JCK Sports Group) responded with 24 points and 9 rebounds and forward Ioane Tvalabeishvili (190-2007) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Griffin have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Black Fortress. Akhaltsikhe lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with three games lost.
