Very predictable result in Quakenbrueck where sixth ranked Artland Dragons (9-6) defeated 12th ranked New Yorker Phantoms (6-9) 85-75. New Yorker Phantoms were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. It was a good game for American-Cypriot power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Cape Verdean-American forward Ryan Gomes (201-82, college: Providence) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. Guard Robert Kulawick (191-86, agency: Pro One Sports) answered with 17 points and international point guard Dennis Schroeder (181-93) added 12 points in the effort for New Yorker Phantoms. New Yorker Phantoms' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Artland Dragons moved-up to fifth place, which they share with B.Muenchen. New Yorker Phantoms at the other side keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. Artland Dragons' next round opponent will be Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#8) on the road. New Yorker Phantoms will play against the league's leader Brose Bask. (#1) in Bamberg.
