EnBW Ludwigsburg used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Tuebingen 76-65 on Wednesday night. The game without a history. EnBW Ludwigsburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Jon Brockman (201-87, college: Washington) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Tekele Cotton (190-93, college: Wichita St.) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Four EnBW Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. Swingman Garlon Green (201-91, college: TCU) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Jesse Sanders (190-89, college: Liberty) added 10 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. EnBW Ludwigsburg will face Braunschweig in Braunschweig in the next round where they are favorite. Walter Tigers will play at home against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven and hope to win that game.
