A very interesting game took place in Ulm. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 15th ranked ratiopharm Ulm (2-6) to third ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (6-1) 71-69 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. ratiopharm Ulm was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. 27 personal fouls committed by ratiopharm Ulm helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jon Brockman (201-87, college: Washington) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Mustafa Shakur (192-84, college: Arizona, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Augustine Rubit (201-89, college: S.Alabama) answered with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks and power forward Raymar Morgan (202-88, college: Michigan St.) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for ratiopharm Ulm. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for EnBW Ludwigsburg. They moved-up to second place. ratiopharm Ulm lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with six games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg's next round opponent will be BG Goettingen (#17) at home which should be an easy win for them. ratiopharm Ulm will play against Giessen 46ers and hope to win that game.
