Regular Season Round 19: Koeln Rh.Stars - Hamburg 76-64

The most shocking disappointment of round 19 in the ProA was a road defeat of 5th ranked Hamburg (11-8) to eighth ranked Koeln Rh.Stars (10-8) 76-64. 26 personal fouls committed by Hamburg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American guard Lakeem Jackson (196-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized American forward Alex Foster (203-92, college: Emory) helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Koeln Rh.Stars players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Michael Wenzl (210-91) responded with 8 points and 9 rebounds and American power forward Robert Ferguson (203-85, college: St.Joseph's) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Koeln Rh.Stars moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Heidelberg. Hamburg at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Koeln Rh.Stars is looking forward to face Nuernberg (#8) in Nurnberg in the next round. Hamburg will play at home against Finke Baskets and is hoping to win this game.
