Regular Season Round 24: ETB Wohnbau - Trier 69-79

Very expected game when 14th ranked ETB Wohnbau (7-17) lost to sixth ranked Gladiators (14-11) in Essen 69-79. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Dwayne Evans (198-92, college: St.Louis) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Simon Schmitz (188-90) who added 12 points and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Gary Johnson (188-82, college: Cent.Florida) with 18 points and 4 assists and forward Paul Albrecht (205-93) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Gladiators maintains sixth position with 14-11 record. ETB Wohnbau lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 17 games lost. Gladiators will play against Koeln Rh.Stars (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. ETB Wohnbau will play against MLP Academics Heidelberg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
