Regular Season Round 26: Brose Bask. - Ludwigsburg 79-64

Rather predictable result in Bamberg where first ranked Brose Baskets (23-2) defeated 4th ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (18-7) 79-64 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-64. Brose Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. EnBW Ludwigsburg was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Greek guard Nikolaos Zisis (197-83, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 11 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Latvian point guard Janis Strelnieks (191-89) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists during the contest. Naturalized Spanish Alvaro Munoz (197-90, agency: Duran International) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Jon Brockman (201-87, college: Washington) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brose Baskets have an impressive 21-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 23-2 record. EnBW Ludwigsburg at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Brose Baskets will face BBC Bayreuth (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against Mitteldeutscher BC (#17) and hope to win that game.
