Trier upset Kirchheim on the road and surge ahead in the series. Gladiators made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Gladiators looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Ghanian-American guard Kwadzo Ahelegbe (188-88, college: N.Iowa) nailed 21 points and 8 assists for the winning side and American forward Dwayne Evans (198-92, college: St.Louis) accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Gladiators players scored in double figures. American point guard Richard Williams (177-87, college: San Diego St., agency: HMS) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 15 assists and British forward Keith Rendleman (203-90, college: NC-Wilmington) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Kirchheim Knights in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
