Regular Season Round 15: Rendsburg - Wusterhausen 80-76

Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Rendsburg (4-5) defeated at home 11th ranked Wusterhausen (2-8) 80-76 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American swingman Martell Collins (196-93, college: SW Oklahoma St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 5 rebounds. Center Christopher Geist (208-95) helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Rendsburg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Nico Draegert (208-90) with 22 points and 5 rebounds and forward Dmitrij Hasenkampf (193-86) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rendsburg moved-up to sixth place in North. Wusterhausen lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. Rendsburg will face Weser Bsk/BTS (#7) in Neustadt in the next round. Wusterhausen will play at home against Aschersleben (#4) and hope to win that game.
