Rather expected game when 11th ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (4-11) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Itzehoe (7-8) 89-79 on Sunday. Itzehoe looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Kaimyn Pruitt (203-90, college: Adams St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Frederik Henningsen (198-88) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. Itzehoe's coach Patrick Elzie used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American center Khalil Kelley (203-91, college: Pacific) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import guard Demetrius Ward (188-90, college: W.Michigan) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Itzehoe and five Herzoege Wolfenbuettel players scored in double figures. Itzehoe moved-up to sixth place in North, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Herzoege Wolfenbuettel keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Itzehoe will face RSV Eintracht (#10) in Stahnsdorf in the next round.
