Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked EWE Baskets (10-8) defeated 11th ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (7-11) in Oldenburg 71-64. American players dominated also this game. It was a great evening for guard Frantz Massenat (193-92, college: Drexel) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 4 assists. Swingman Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri) helped adding 10 points and 6 rebounds. Four EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. EWE Baskets' coach Mladen Drijencic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side guard Kwame Vaughn (190-90, college: CS Fullerton) responded with 22 points and 4 assists and guard Quantez Robertson (188-84, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. EWE Baskets maintains sixth place with 10-8 record. Deutsche Bank Skyliners at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. EWE Baskets will play against Braunschweig (#15) in Braunschweig in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will play at home against Walter Tigers and hope to get back on the winning track.
