No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Koblenz (16-9) crushed at home 13th ranked Heidelberg USC (7-17) 105-82 on Saturday. Koblenz made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Koblenz looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Lithuanian point guard Paulius Semaska (185-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 8 assists. Croatian point guard Zeljko Novak (184-89) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Coach Josip Bosnjak's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Center Niklas Ney (208-95, college: Mercer) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Morris Hintz (193-95) added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Heidelberg USC. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Koblenz moved-up to third place in South-West. Loser Heidelberg USC dropped to the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. Koblenz will face Kaiserslautern (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Heidelberg USC will play against Mainz (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
