Very expected game when 6th ranked Herford (5-4) was crushed at home by second ranked Muenster (8-1) 106-77 on Saturday. Muenster made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 70.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Stefan Wess (204-94) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and American guard Bryce Leavitt (193-94, college: Seattle Pacific) who added 13 points and 9 assists during the contest. Five Muenster players scored in double figures. American guard Carlbe Ervin-II (190-95, college: Kansas St.) responded with 32 points and 6 rebounds and Canadian-British forward Kris Douse (198-86, college: Point Park) scored 24 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Muenster keeps a position of West leader, which they share with Grevenbroich. Herford lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with four games lost. Muenster will face Salzkotten (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Herford will play against Duesseldorf and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
