Regular Season Round 9: Schalke - Stahnsdorf 81-56

There was no surprise when 12th ranked RSV Eintracht (2-7) was crushed on the road by first ranked Schalke (8-1) 81-56 on Saturday. Schalke made 29-of-35 free shots (82.9 percent) during the game, while RSV Eintracht only scored five points from the stripe. RSV Eintracht was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American power forward RJ Slawson (203-92, college: Jacksonville) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Schalke players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Mike Holton-Jr (185-90, college: St.Michael's) who recorded 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Oshane Drews (193-1) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Schalke maintains first place in North with 8-1 record. Loser RSV Eintracht dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. Schalke will face Cuxhaven (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. RSV Eintracht will play against Rostock and hope to win that game.
