Regular Season Round 11: Bayreuth - Wuerzburg 86-80

Rather expected game when 7th ranked s Oliver Baskets (6-5) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked BBC Bayreuth (8-3) 86-80 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for BBC Bayreuth especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was American Nate Linhart (201-86, college: Akron) who scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international center Andreas Seiferth (209-89) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Linhart is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. BBC Bayreuth's coach Raoul Korner used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. International forward Robin Benzing (208-89) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international point guard Maurice Stuckey (187-90) added 18 points respectively for the guests. BBC Bayreuth maintains fourth place with 8-3 record. Loser s Oliver Baskets keep the seventh position with five games lost. BBC Bayreuth will face Oettinger Rockets Gotha (#17) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. s Oliver Baskets will play against the league's second-placed ALBA Berlin (#2) and hope to win that game.
