Rather expected game when 10th ranked Rosenheim (4-10) lost at home to seventh ranked Ansbach (8-7) 102-94 on Saturday. Rosenheim was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Croatian point guard Goran Petrovic (184-77) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American power forward Nick Freer (198-85, college: Grand Valley St., agency: Athleadz) contributed with 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Jguwon Hogges (173-86, college: Oregon Tech) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists and Lithuanian forward Osvaldas Gaizauskas (201-91, college: Ohio Valley) added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Rosenheim. Five Ansbach and four Rosenheim players scored in double figures. Ansbach moved-up to sixth place in South-East. Rosenheim lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. Ansbach will face higher ranked Treuchtlingen (#3) in Treutchlingen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rosenheim will play on the road against TSV Troester (#5) in Breitenguessbach and hope to win that game.
