There was no surprise in Erfurt where 13th ranked Ludwigsburg (3-13) was crushed by eleventh ranked Loewen (6-10) 104-78 on Sunday. Loewen made 25-of-27 free shots (92.6 percent) during the game. Loewen outrebounded Ludwigsburg 37-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. Center Noah Kamdem (198-1998) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners and Ivorian-French Guy Landry Edi (198-1988, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. Dutch Emmanuel Ugbo (201-2003) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Nico Santana Mojica (196-2002) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Loewen moved-up to eighth place. Ludwigsburg lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Loewen will meet league's leader White Wings in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ludwigsburg will play against OrangeAcademy (#10) and hope to secure a win.
