The most important game in the last round took place in Giessen between third rankedLich Basketball (14-6) and fourth ranked Giessen Lich Basketball was defeated by Giessen in a tough game on the road 85-90 . It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Lich Basketball. Giessen looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Naturalized Serbian Nemanja Nadjfeji (198-2000) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Giessen's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The former international Johannes Lischka (203-1987) replied with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Yannik Ribbecke (197-1997) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Lich Basketball. Four Giessen and five Lich Basketball players scored in double figures. Giessen moved-up to third place. Lich Basketball at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Stuttgart MVT.
