Hakro Merlins outrebounded Phoenix Hagen 45-34 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Phoenix Hagen was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Vinnie Shahid (180-1998, college: NDSU) who helped to win the game recording 21 points. Guard Anthony Gaines (193-1998, college: Siena, agency: One Motive Sports) contributed with 8 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Hakro Merlins players scored in double figures. Guard Sincere Carry (185-1999, college: Kent St.) answered with 29 points and forward Naz Bohannon (198-1999, college: Clemson) added 10 points in the effort for Phoenix Hagen. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
