Seawolves made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Seawolves outrebounded Phoenix Hagen 36-23 including a 26-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Seawolves players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Belgian power forward Andy Van Vliet (213-1995, college: William & Mary) stepped up and scored 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and American forward D'Shawn Schwartz (199-1999, college: GMU) chipped in 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Seawolves players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Bjarne Kraushaar (190-1999) responded with 15 points and 6 assists and American guard Devin Schmidt (193-1994, college: Delta St.) scored 20 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
