Portuguese Ana Leal (175-2001) nailed 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and power forward Sophia Phillips (182-2003) accounted for 20 points. Goettingen's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Cianna Gloster (183-2002, college: Shawnee St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and Latvian center Marta Miscenko (194-1995, college: Wingate) added 12 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Jena in the defeat. Four Jena players scored in double figures.
