The game was mostly controlled by Bayern Muenchen. Telekom Baskets was better in third quarter27-20 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Canadian guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes (191-1994, college: FSU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. International power forward Oscar Da Silva (205-1998, college: Stanford) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Bayern Muenchen players scored in double figures. American guard Alijah Comithier (201-2001, college: Emporia St.) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Joel-Sadu Aminu (193-1997) added 16 points in the effort for Bonn. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
