Everything went according to plan when sixth rankedMegaridas (6-3) defeated bottom-ranked Vikos (2-7) in Ioannina 77-73 on Saturday. Megaridas made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Megaridas outrebounded Vikos 42-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Point guard Dimitris Geromichalos (185-1994) nailed 25 points and 5 assists for the winning side and naturalized Russian guard Thanasis Tsoukas (190-2001) accounted for 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Megaridas' coach Giorgos Mandalos used entire bench in such tough game. American-Nigerian guard Austen Awosika (190-1998, college: CS Fullerton) came up with 19 points and 5 assists and American guard Jordan Sibert (193-1992, college: Dayton) added 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals respectively for Vikos in the defeat. Megaridas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Koroivos and Panerythraikos. Newly promoted Vikos stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. They share it with Near East.
