Everything could happen in Kesariani at the game between two tied teams. Both fifteenth rankedNear East and 16th ranked Vikos had identical 2-9 record. This time Near East used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Ioannina 70-65 on Saturday night. The winners were led by Nikolaos Delgas (-2003) who scored that evening 15 points and 6 assists and guard Antonis Sigalas (188-2003) supported him with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Even 8 points and 12 rebounds by naturalized American swingman Nicholas Paulos (201-1991, college: UNCG) did not help to save the game for Vikos . Guard Dimitris Ermeidis (191-2000) added 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Near East (3-9) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Esperos. Vikos lost fourth consecutive game. Vikos at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with ten games lost.
