Important game to mention about took place in Athens. Eighth rankedAmyntas (5-6) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Panserraikos (4-7) 97-95 on Sunday evening. Amyntas had a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Panserraikos was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Mya Berkman (190, college: Liberty) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 23 rebounds. The former international forward Garyfallia-Paraskevi Danou (176-1997) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Amyntas' coach Froso Drakaki allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Morgan Jones (188-1999, college: Louisville) answered with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import center Jada Rice (193-1999, college: Alabama) added 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks in the effort for Panserraikos. Five Amyntas and four Panserraikos players scored in double figures. Amyntas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with PAOK and Panathlitikos. Panserraikos at the other side dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Esperides and Giannena.
