Not a big story in a game when 16th rankedNear East (4-14) lost to second ranked Megaridas (15-3) in Megara 77-82 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. American forward Craig Victor II (206-1995, college: LSU) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Kostas Dendrinos (182-1990) supported him with 21 points. Even 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by American guard Marreon Jackson (184-1998, college: Arizona St.) did not help to save the game for Near East . Swingman Ioannis Ziros (194-1996) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Megaridas have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Mykonou. Near East lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. They share the position with HANTH.
