There was no surprise when 13th rankedIkaroi Trikala (9-13) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Psychikou (13-9) 75-65 on Saturday. American guard Joe Bryant Jr (185-2000, college: Norfolk St.) fired 26 points for the winners. Point guard Georgios Koukas (179-1985) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Bryant Jr. is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Psychikou's coach Giorgos Remendelas used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Naturalized Australian center Ioannis Dimakopoulos (218-1994, college: UC Irvine, agency: Helping Ballers) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and guard Marios Poulianitis (190-1998) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Psychikou moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Koroivos. Newly promoted Ikaroi Trikala keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost.
