No shocking result in a game when seventh rankedDoxa Lefkadas (12-12) beat bottom-ranked Esperos (6-19) in Lamia 88-81 on Saturday. Doxa Lefkadas looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Esperos ' players. The winners were led by power forward Ioannis Sachpatzidis (209-1993) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Joe Gatzo (199-1998) supported him with 19 points and 10 assists. Four Doxa Lefkadas players scored in double figures. Doxa Lefkadas' coach Dinos Kalambakos used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 29 points and 6 assists by American guard Nigel Johnson (187-1995, college: Virginia, agency: 6th Man Basketball Agency) did not help to save the game for Esperos . Power forward Thomas Zorbas (204-2004, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points and 13 rebounds. Doxa Lefkadas maintains seventh position with 12-12 record. Esperos lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 19 games lost.
