The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedMegaridas (21-4) in Megara on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by thirteenth ranked Papagou (11-14) 88-84 . It ended at the same time the 17-game winning streak of Megaridas. Papagou had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Megaridas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Walter Williams (195-1997, college: Virginia St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and power forward Stefanos Spartalis (206-2006, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American forward Craig Victor II (206-1995, college: LSU) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Dimitris Geromichalos (185-1994) scored 20 points and 4 assists. Five Papagou and four Megaridas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Papagou moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Panerythraikos and Vikos. Megaridas at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost.
