First defeat ofNeas Ionias (2-1) against Athinaikos (2-1) 72-51 was the most important game of the last round. Athinaikos forced 21 Neas Ionias turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for American forward Morgan Bertsch (193-1997, college: UC Davis, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with 20 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The former international guard Elena Tsineke (175-1999, college: S.Florida) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Athinaikos' coach Styliani Kaltsidou felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Lauren Manis (185-1998, college: Holy Cross) answered with 17 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Cali Clark (190, college: SDSU) added 1 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Neas Ionias.
