No shocking result in a game when sixth rankedMegaridas (11-7) beat 10th ranked Dafni (8-10) in Athens 79-69 on Saturday. Megaridas looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Naturalized Australian swingman Nicolas Pozoglou (196-1996) notched a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and power forward Aristotelis Sotiriou (203-2001, college: Adelphi) supported him with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Megaridas' coach Giorgos Mandalos used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 19 points and 6 rebounds by power forward Panagiotis Filippakos (202-1994) did not help to save the game for Dafni . American forward Maalik Cartwright (198-2000, college: Delta St.) added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Megaridas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ermis S. and Psychikou. Loser Dafni dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Peiramatiko.
