Fourteenth-rankedSofadon (6-14) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Megaridas (12-8) in Megara on Saturday. Megaridas managed to secure only one-point victory 90-89 . However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sofadon. They outrebounded Sofadon 39-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. Megaridas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Athanasios Grekas (196-1996) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Aristotelis Sotiriou (203-2001, college: Adelphi) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Megaridas players scored in double figures. American guard Mike Bothwell (190-2000, college: Furman, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 26 points and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and guard Evdoxios Kapetakis (201-2005) scored 20 points. Sofadon's coach Nikos Kaklamanos tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Megaridas have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Megaridas went down to fifth position due to points difference. Loser Sofadon dropped to the thirteenth place with 14 games lost.
