The game in Giannena supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth rankedProteas (9-10) played at the court of 6th ranked Giannena (9-10). Proteas smashed Giannena 77-53 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Giannena 38-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Lauren Jensen (178-2001, college: Creighton) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and the other American import guard Morgan Maly (185-2002, college: Creighton) who added 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Proteas' coach Marios Despotakis felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International forward Konstantina Sarigiannidou (180-1990) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Tyia Singleton (188-1999, college: Ole Miss) scored 6 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Proteas maintains fifth position with 9-10 record, which they share with defeated Giannena. Giannena lost third consecutive game.
