LeaderLefkadas delivered the eighteenth victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Papagou (13-9) 72-64 in Athens. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Papagou. They outrebounded Papagou 45-26 including a 38-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Papagou was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Vasileios Stavrakoukas (191-2001) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Ioannis Chatzinikolas (196-1995) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Chatzinikolas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Lefkadas players scored in double figures. American guard Jarrett Adderton (190-2001, college: Columbus St.) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and swingman Ilias Karamolegkos (192-2000) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Papagou. Papagou's coach Fotis Karakostas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lefkadas maintains first place with 18-4 record. Papagou at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Lavrio.
