Very important is a road loss of third rankedProteas (16-7) against fifth ranked Megaridas (15-8) on Monday night. Visiting Proteas was defeated by Megaridas in Megara 89-78 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Proteas V.. Megaridas made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Aristotelis Sotiriou (203-2001, college: Adelphi) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Australian swingman Nicolas Pozoglou (196-1996) who added 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Megaridas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Camron Reece (202-1999, college: Talladega) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import guard Makye Richards (188, college: Xavier, LA) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Megaridas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ermis S. Proteas at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost.
