Very expected game when 13th rankedMaroussi (4-15) was smashed by fifth ranked Aris (10-7) in Thessaloniki 102-76 on Saturday. Aris made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Maroussi turnovers. Aris shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by French Amine Noua (202-1997) who scored that evening 23 points and American forward Jake Forrester (206-1999, college: St.Louis) supported him with 8 points and 8 rebounds. Four Aris players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 6 rebounds by American center JaCorey Williams (203-1994, college: MTSU) did not help to save the game for Maroussi . The former international guard George Papas (195-1998, college: Monmouth, agency: Octagon Europe) added 11 points for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aris have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 10-7 record. Loser Maroussi stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost.
