An interesting game took place in Rodou where higher rankedIraklis (8-11) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Kolossos (6-13) 98-85 on Sunday. Kolossos dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Iraklis ' 34 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Kolossos especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kolossos made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American point guard David Nichols (183-1996, college: FSU) who scored 24 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Tevin Mack (201-1997, college: Clemson, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Josiah Strong (193-1999, college: Colorado St.) who recorded 18 points and 7 assists and international point guard Dimitris Moraitis (192-1999) added 15 points, 6 assists and 4 steals respectively. Four Kolossos and five Iraklis players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kolossos moved-up to tenth place. Newly promoted Iraklis keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost.
