Not a big story in a game in Patras where 9th rankedPromitheas (7-15) was rolled over by second ranked Panathinaikos (18-5) 96-63 on Saturday. Panathinaikos dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Promitheas ' 30. They outrebounded Promitheas 39-28 including 17 on the offensive glass. Panathinaikos looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Kostas Mitoglou (210-1996, college: Wake Forest) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. American-North Macedonian point guard TJ Shorts (175-1997, college: UC Davis) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. Shorts is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Panathinaikos players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Turkish point guard Dae Dae Grant (188-2001, college: Duquesne) who recorded 18 points and 4 assists and American power forward Kendal Coleman (204-2002, college: CBU) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Promitheas' coach already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Panathinaikos maintains second position with 18-5 record having three points less than leader Olympiacos. Promitheas lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Kolossos.
