Regular Season Round 25: Maroussi - Kolossos 108-93

Bottom-rankedMaroussi managed to get the second consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they won against ninth-ranked Kolossos in Athens 108-93 . It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 15-point difference proves that Maroussi was well-prepared to that game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Kolossos ' 36. Maroussi looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American point guard Jordan Walker (180-1999, college: UAB) stepped up and scored 23 points and 8 assists for the winners and his fellow American import center JaCorey Williams (203-1994, college: MTSU) chipped in 17 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side Brazilian Gabriel Galvanini (204-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and American forward Tevin Mack (201-1997, college: Clemson, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Five Maroussi and four Kolossos players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maroussi (6-17) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Panionios. Kolossos lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Promitheas and Karditsas.
