There was no surprise when 9th rankedSelfoss (1-4) were crushed on the road by fifth ranked Hamar (4-2) 105-85 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Hamar. Selfoss managed to win fourth quarter 31-22 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hamar dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Selfoss ' 46. Hamar looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Selfoss ' players. Greek Fotios Lampropoulos (206-1983, agency: Interperformances) scored 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Spanish point guard Jose Medina (185-1993) chipped in 20 points and 9 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American swingman Follie Bogan (193-2000, college: Milligan) with 24 points and 9 rebounds and Czech center Vojtech Novak (205-1997) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hamar moved-up to third place, which they share with Breidablik and IA. Selfoss lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost.
