There was a surprise result in Kopavogur where ninth rankedThor (3-4) defeated higher ranked Breidablik (4-4) 88-82 on Thursday. Breidablik was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 22-15 charge of Thor, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Reynir Robertsson (186-2004) who scored 26 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Tim Dalger (201, college: St.Louis) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Four Thor AK players scored in double figures. Dutch guard Aytor Alberto (188-2000, college: Cairn) produced 31 points and American forward Maalik Cartwright (198-2000, college: Delta St.) added 20 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Breidablik's coach Hrafn Kristjansson tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Thor moved-up to seventh place. Breidablik lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with four games lost.
