Regular Season Round 11: Thor AK - Armann 63-85

Division I top team -Armann (9-2) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Thor (4-6) in Akureyri 85-63 . The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 46-21 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Armann forced 19 Thor turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Cedrick Bowen (198-1992, college: Charleston So.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Danish guard Adama Darboe (190-1986) helped adding 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Armann players scored in double figures. American forward Tim Dalger (201, college: St.Louis) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and Baldur Johannesson (195-2001) scored 5 points and 6 rebounds. Thor AK's coach Throstur Johannsson gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Armann maintains first place with 9-2 record, which they share with Sindri. Thor at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost.
