Very predictable result when fourth rankedGrindavik (6-4) won against at home 10th ranked Valur (3-7) 97-90 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 31-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. American point guard Devon Thomas (183-1994, college: Texas Tech) notched 31 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and Hungarian-American swingman DeAndre Kane (195-1989, college: Iowa St.) supported him with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Even 21 points and 4 assists by American guard Sherif Gross-Bullock (196-1999, college: Bryant) did not help to save the game for Valur .
