There was a small surprise in Egilsstadir where twelfth rankedHaukar (3-9) edged 10th ranked Hottur (4-8) 89-86 on Friday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 51-47 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Haukar looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Everage Richardson (191-1985, college: Coastal) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Belgian Seppe DEspallier (197-1999) who added 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Haukar players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Montenegrin power forward Nemanja Knezevic (205-1987) with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and American point guard Justin Roberts (182-1998, college: Georgia St.) scored 26 points. Haukar maintains twelfth position with 3-9 record. Loser Hottur dropped to the eleventh place with eight games lost.
